Government Authority located in Connecticut; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for third party claims administration services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide third party claims administration services to have a trusted expert in Claims Administration to handle our WC and Liability claims from end-to-end.
- Desired Client Support Services: -
1. A dedicated transition team including 100 hours of project management.
2. Monthly meetings with City Risk Manager to discuss claims, loss control, any significant analytics, general administrative matters, etc.
3. Monthly meetings with the largest departments to minimally review their current lost time claims.
4. Participate in quarterly claim and/or settlement reviews with City Risk Management and Corporation Counsel.
5. Quarterly liability loss-control meetings with the City of Hartford and Hartford BOE staff.
6. Any special projects requested by City or BOE.
7. Provide service for day-to-day contact on claim matters with timely response and clearly identified support team.
8. Assist with providing data for our annual IBNR actuarial report for the self-insured WC, general and auto liability.
9. Propose innovative cost containment solutions.
10. When appropriate, propose claim operational improvement suggestions.
11. Other services as normally and customarily required of a public entities TPA.
12. Partner with our agent/broker anytime there is a coverage question or if an excess notification is required.
13. Compile and provide claim information and reports as required by the insurance company, the City of Hartford, the FROI, and anything required by active litigation.
14. Prepare and submit a quarterly report to the City’s Risk Manager with claims metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, etc.
15. Regularly inform the City of changes in insurance market conditions, risk management strategies, status of insurers, legislative activity and laws that may affect the City.
16. Participate in state mandated Health and Safety Committee meetings
- FINANCE AND ACCOUTING SERVICES: -
1. File all required reports and statements with the State of Connecticut.
2. Prepare 1099 Forms for vendor services.
3. Comply with GASB Statement 10 and other applicable regulations.
4 Report claims to CMS for those claims that are Medicare eligible and follow other CMS regulations.
5. Provide any reports necessary to meet annual OSHA and workers’ compensation commission regulations.
6. Assist the Finance Department in establishing banking arrangements and escrow funding requirements.
7. Meet and support any City requirements of auditors regarding the financial balancing and documentation of the programs
[C] Eligibility:
- Onshore (USA Organization Only);
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location.
