[A] Budget: Looking for proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide specialty billing and collecting services for radiation oncology.
- Contractor’s staff must be able to handle all steps of the billing and collection process from pre-authorizations through claims processing, denial investigation and management, through final resolution for all payors and self-pay patients.
- Contract will be responsible for the entire and collection process. Contractor will work with physicians and clinicians around coding and change codes when appropriate to ensure authorization are met; contractor will ensure charges coincide with authorization and claims reflect accurate charges; Contractor will promptly investigate and address any denials; Contractor will ensure patient accounts are reconciled and updated appropriately.
- Contractor will perform all work within agency system.
- Contractor understand that the anticipated claim volume is based on125 patient visits per week.
Contractor will be able to provide a secure link to agency and be responsible for following all policies and procedures of IT security.
- Verifying the accuracy of charges input onto system. This include resolving edits within epic.
Billing all types of payors. Submitting claims in a timely manner and in accordance with each payor’s specific requirements for electronic and hard copy submissions.
- Monitoring and resolving insurers requests for refunds, including appealing those requests as applicable.
- Claims that contractor will be expected to handle:
- Government- Medicare/ Medicaid
- Third-party payors
- Self-pay
(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than January 24, 2020
(3) The contract period will be for two year.
