Government Authority located in Hartford, Connecticut; USA based organization looking for expert vendor for personal property appraiser and auction services.
[A] Budget: Looking for Proposals
[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide personal property appraiser and auction services for market value of selected items and a public auction service for the sale of items to the government authority located in Hartford, CT.
- Contractor will be responsible for the entire auction process.
- Contractor will be responsible for pickup and delivery of larger items at locations state-wide upon request.
- Shall be responsible for the security at all times of all state items identified for auction while in the contractor's procession.
- Contractor shall store and maintain items prior to sale in a manner that will protect their value and prevent damage.
- Contractor may clean and repair any item to increase value at no additional cost to Judicial. For identified high value items a reserve may be set at the appraised amount (example: high end jewelry, gold etc.)
- If items do not sell contractor will work with Judicial to discuss either destruction of property or to store for future auction.
- For a high value item with a reserve that does not sell, upon mutual agreement the contractor will work with Judicial regarding the item(s).
- Contractor shall provide the following:
- Provide an appraisal of each identified item for their estimated market value. The cost associated with this service must be borne by the contractor.
- Ability to provide a digital photograph along with any descriptions or technical specifications
- Allow for auction-bidder and buyer the ability to view any digital photographs and or descriptions
- Auction one (l) item or one (l) lot per listing if possible
- Add applicable sales tax to the winning bid
- Provide detailed reporting and summary data to Judicial at agreed upon time frames
- Provide detailed reporting and records in reproducible electronic format
- Block or otherwise decline auction-bidder and buyer whom have default on previous bids
- Offer item for the next auction if auction-bidder and buyer defaults.
- Shipping charges will be the responsibility of the auction bidder and buyer for each item so that auction-bidder can know in advance of shipping expenses
- Track payment and payment collection
- Provide notification of sales, transactions and revenues to judicial.
